Given the amount of brooding, pouting and outright teenage angst in this 1986 classic, one could argue the John Hughes classic Pretty in Pink was one of the first-ever emo films. Featuring Molly Ringwald at her finest, along with a terrific cast, including Andrew McCarthy, James Spader and the magnetic Duckie, played by Jon Cryer, this film is right up there in the John Hughes holy trinity of teenage love stories, along with Sixteen Candles and Some Kind of Wonderful. Oh, and don't forget about the amazing soundtrack!
