You know we're talking about "the boombox scene," which perhaps led to thousands of lovesick teenage boys attempting similar feats to win the affections of that special girl. We'd hazard to guess that the success rate was probably extremely low. After all, there is only one Lloyd Dobler...er John Cusack.
